DescriptionLaowa 9 mm T2,9 Zero-D Cine for Fuji X description

Small, handy, wide-angle, it will cover up to 113° on Super35 mm sensor or 110° on Micro 4/3 sensor. Ideal for small cameras or for cameras mounted on a gimbal. A lens already known to photographers, from now on it will also be useful for filmmakers. Thanks to the gears, which are standard in the film industry, you will connect the follow focus mechanism, which is necessary for smooth focus tracking. The necessary filters can be attached to the lens thanks to the 55 mm thread. The optics, as in the version without gears, has excellent characteristics and virtually eliminates distortion. Laowa 9mm T2.9 Zero-D The new Laowa 9mm covers sensor sizes up to Super 35mm. The minimal lens size goes hand in hand with distortion-free operation with a 113° field of view. Also very useful is the T2.9 relative aperture, which everyone will appreciate when filming in lower light conditions. Wide coverage, Super 35 and Micro Four Thirds. The new Laowa 9mm Cine lens works perfectly with Super 35, APS-C and MFT cameras and provides a field of view of 120° ( Super 35 sensor), 113° (APS-C) and 100° (MFT). Film features as standard The lens has an optimized design for film and video production, enhancing performance and providing a smoother workflow. Filter with 55mm thread Transmissions with 0.8 pitch on the aperture and focus rings. The stepless aperture ring provides smooth control over exposure. Both imperial and metric scales printed on the lens body. Compact and lightweight At just 247g, the lens can easily fit into any setup. Ideal for shooting in-car, handheld, on a gimbal, etc. Near-zero distortion In addition to its ultra-wide-angle field of view, it also delivers exceptional image quality with best-in-class distortion control. This near-zero distortion (Zero-D) design is extremely useful when capturing architectural, aerial and interior design footage. Bright T2.9 aperture and very short focusing distance . Together with a pair of aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements, the 15 elements in 10 groups optical design successfully controls spherical and chromatic aberrations to a minimum. The bright T2.9 maximum aperture is conducive to working in low-light conditions. Focusing as low as 12cm, it allows greater flexibility and control of shallow depth of field with a wider perspective. 1. How to choose the right lens for a mirrorless camera?

When choosing the right lens for a mirrorless camera, it is important to consider your photography needs and style. First, decide on the resolution and focusing distance you require. For portraits, lenses with a wide aperture, such as a 50mm f/1.8, are often preferred. If you enjoy landscapes, go for a wide-angle lens (e.g., 24mm). To capture distant objects, telephoto lenses (e.g., 70-200mm) are useful. Another important factor is the lens’s light-gathering ability, which affects performance in low-light conditions. A stabilization system can also be important, especially for longer lenses. It’s important to evaluate the build quality of the lens and the manufacturer's reputation. Try out several lenses and consider your future needs to choose the right and long-lasting investment in your photography.

2. Are all lenses compatible with all mirrorless cameras?

Not all lenses are universal for all mirrorless cameras. Different manufacturers may have different mounts, so it is important to check the lens compatibility with your camera. For example, lenses for Canon, Nikon, Sony, and other manufacturers' mirrorless cameras may not be interchangeable without adapters. It is also important to consider the sensor size. APS-C lenses may be disproportionately large for full-frame cameras. Before purchasing a lens, it is advisable to check the manufacturer's compatibility chart and consider the specific requirements of your camera. Adapters can allow the use of third-party lenses, but there may be some loss in functionality or quality.
