CABLE USB2.0 A-M/A-F ACTIVE/7M ADR-207 AXAGON

The AXAGON ADR-207 active USB 2.0 extension cable with a length of 7.5 meters is ideal for connecting your computer to USB devices such as a mouse, keyboard, webcam, printer, scanner, plotter, and others. The active USB repeater cable amplifies the transmitted signal and allows you to connect a USB device at a significantly greater distance than a passive cable would allow. The cable's range can be further extended by connecting several cables in sequence.

A great advantage of the ADR-207 cable is the integrated connector for additional power supply. In most cases, power via the USB bus is sufficient, but for devices with higher power consumption, USB power may be insufficient over longer distances, and an external power supply from the mains can solve this problem.

The exceptionally compact body of the repeater cable allows trouble-free use in electrical installation ducts or cable systems. The use of a high-quality shielded cable ensures high communication speed and minimal unwanted interference.

Power supply:

• Power supply of the cable and connected devices via USB bus (bus-power mode 5V - 500mA).
• For most connected USB devices, the power supply via USB bus is sufficient and no auxiliary power is required.
• The active part of the cable includes a connector ( 3.5 x 1.3 mm outer x internal diameter) for additional external power supply of 5V/ 1-2 A.
• The power cable USB A-M / 3.5 mm jack, 1.2 m long is included. The cable allows powering from a standard mobile phone charger with USB-A output 5V / min. 1A, e.g. AXAGON ACU-QC18. 
• When powering the repeater cable with the power adapter, an external 2.5" disk can be connected without the need for own power supply to the disk.
• For longer USB route with multiple repeater cables connected in a row, the USB bus supply may be inadequate for USB devices with lower power consumption than an external 2.5" drive. Also, in this case it can help to boost the power supply by connecting a power adapter.
