Samyang 16mm f/2.0 ED AS UMC CS is a fast, rectilinear wide-angle lens designed for APS-C format system cameras, both DSLR and mirrorless models. With its large aperture, low distortion and a focal length equivalent to approximately 24 mm on a full frame camera, this lens is useful for everything from reportage and architecture to nature and travel photography. It is also available for cameras with Micro Four Thirds mount (Olympus and Panasonic). Samyang 16mm f / 2.0 ED AS UMC CS has manual focusing with a wide, ribbed and smooth focus ring. Its advanced optical design consists of 13 elements divided into 11 groups, including two aspherical elements and a hybrid-aspheric element to give maximum sharpness all the way to the edges. An element made of ED glass (extra low color dispersion) is also used to minimize the occurrence of chromatic aberration. Furthermore, Samyang's Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) counteracts reflexes and stray light and provides very good light transmission.
