The Nikon WX 10x50 IF is a flagship optical instrument combining powerful 10x magnification with an unusually wide field of view. Its large 50 mm objective lenses collect plenty of light, making the binocular ideal for stargazing, landscapes and detailed observation of distant subjects. The binocular provides a 9° real angular field of view and covers an area 157 metres wide at a distance of 1,000 metres. Its remarkable 76.4° apparent field of view creates an expansive and immersive viewing experience that is exceptional for a 10x binocular. The advanced optical system uses ED glass elements, field-flattener lenses and a sophisticated prism design. It is engineered to reduce chromatic aberration, astigmatism, coma and other image distortions, maintaining excellent sharpness from the centre to the edges of the field. A 5 mm exit pupil and relative brightness of 25 help maintain a detailed image in lower-light conditions. The 15.3 mm eye relief also makes the binocular suitable for many eyeglass wearers. Each eyepiece is focused independently. This focusing system is particularly suitable for astronomy and long-range observation where subject distance changes only slightly. The dioptre adjustment range extends from –6 to +5 m⁻¹. The binocular is waterproof and protected against internal fogging. Due to its substantial weight of 2,505 g, it is most comfortable to use on a tripod. A Nikon TRA-5 tripod adapter is included with the binocular.

These binoculars are ideal for:
astronomy and stargazing;
observing the Moon, star clusters and distant celestial objects;
professional nature and landscape observation;
marine and long-range viewing;
users seeking strong magnification with an exceptionally wide field;
enthusiasts of flagship optical equipment.
Compared with the Nikon WX 7x50 IF, this model provides stronger 10x magnification and is better suited to resolving fine details of distant objects. The WX 7x50 IF offers a wider 188 m field, a larger 7.1 mm exit pupil and a brighter image, while the WX 10x50 IF provides greater reach and an exceptionally wide 76.4° apparent field.
Compared with the Nikon 10x70IF SP WP, the WX 10x50 IF has smaller objectives but is designed to provide a much wider and more thoroughly corrected field of view. The 10x70 model collects more light, while the WX delivers a more immersive wide-angle image.
Compared with conventional 10x50 binoculars, the WX is considerably larger, heavier and more sophisticated, but delivers a dramatically wider field and superior edge-to-edge image quality.
