DescriptionCanon EOS R7 + RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM description
Canon EOS R7 + RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM. Continuing the legacy of the EOS 7D series, the EOS R7 packs the latest performance and blazing speed into the next generation EOS R-series system body. Balancing resolution, speed and low-light performance, the 32.5 MP APS-C CMOS sensor is a versatile chip perfect for both photo and video applications. As one of the first APS-C sensors in the EOS R system, the R7's high-resolution design benefits photography and 4K video applications by providing a 7K area, which improves sharpness and quality.
DIGIC X PROCESSOR
Canon EOS R7 is equipped with a DIGIC X image processor that enables a wide range of high-speed tasks, from fast continuous shooting to high-definition video recording. When it comes to high-speed shooting, the R7 supports continuous shooting at up to 30fps with silent electronic shutter or 15fps with mechanical shutter, with AF and AE readouts before each shot. The processor also helps to realise a wide sensitivity range from ISO 100-32000, which can be extended up to ISO 51200 for use in challenging lighting conditions.
UHD 4K VIDEO RECORDING
In addition to stills, the R7 sensor also offers high-definition UHD 4K 60p internal video using the full sensor width and the ability to work with 10-bit sampling with Canon Log 3. HDR-PQ recording is also available for in-camera HDR production and external recording via the micro-HDMI port, which supports clean 4K output at up to 60fps. In addition, unlimited recording time is available, and the R7 features both microphone and headphone connections, as well as a multi-function jack to combine a variety of accessories.
RELIABLE AND INTUITIVE DESIGN
Based on the professional-grade EOS R3, the R7 is designed around its robust physical structure, with a dust- and moisture-tight body design suitable for use in harsh conditions. The redesigned rear controls feature a combined AF point selector and rear control dial, putting two of the most commonly used controls in one intuitive location. Two SD memory card slots provide file storage flexibility and both are designed for UHS-II card speeds to support smooth 4K video recording and high-speed continuous shooting.
CANON RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM
Start your EOS R APS-C mirrorless journey with a lens that covers all your photo and video needs. The RF-S 18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM is light and compact, offering a 4-stop optical Image Stabilizer plus a useful 18-45mm zoom range for great results every day. Capture life in all its glory with a compact APS-C zoom for the EOS R series that packs in a 29-72mm (35mm equiv.) zoom range. It’s ideal for travel, family or even vlogging and can be easily stowed away in your kit bag. Go manual and get close with a higher magnification in MF mode. It’s the perfect solution for capturing subjects in glorious detail and allows you get as close as to 15cm with a 0.25x magnification. Never worry about having to use flash when you have 4-stops of image stabilisation to hand. For sure and steady shots this lens has you covered, with even more compensation on offer when used with compatible cameras. The combined weight of the RF-S 18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM and an EOS R APS-C mirrorless camera offers a significant weight savings compared to a DSLR equivalent. Less weight means you can use for longer – and never miss a moment. An STM motor allows smooth, silent and accurate focusing while a seven blade, circular f/4.5-6.3 aperture is perfect for creating artistic out of focus highlights or 'bokeh'.

1. Which mirrorless camera should I choose for better photo results?
Choosing the right mirrorless camera for better photo results depends on your individual needs and budget. The Sony Alpha a7 III is a popular choice, offering excellent dynamic range and efficient autofocus. The Canon EOS R6 also boasts high technical performance, including powerful image stabilisation. The Nikon Z6 II is another attractive choice with excellent dynamic range and high ISO sensitivity. It's important to consider the features of each model, the choice of lenses and the ability to suit your shooting style. It is recommended to read reviews and test equipment before buying, if possible.
2. What are the advantages of mirrorless cameras compared to DSLR cameras?
The advantages of mirrorless cameras over DSLR cameras include modern technology and lightness. Mirrorless cameras are more compact and lighter, making them more comfortable to carry. They often have a smaller body because they do not have a mirror system, which reduces the overall weight. The use of an electronic viewfinder allows the actual frame to be seen before the picture is taken, thus optimising composition and exposure. Mirrorless cameras have fast autofocus and some models may perform better in low light conditions. They also offer more creative options, including a range of filters and effects. The new generation of lenses offers improved performance and efficiency, contributing to higher quality photos. However, every photographer's needs are different, so it is important to consider your preferences carefully before choosing a camera.
