This cage provides additional protection for the Canon C80 camera body while expanding the mounting options for various accessories.
The cage is equipped with a Cold Shoe holder, NATO rail, wrist strap mount, 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads, both of which have LocatingPoints.
A unique feature of this cage is the side plate with integrated button extensions for the camera body that provide tactile response and easy access. On the opposite side plate are precisely aligned mounting points that allow the quick release plate to be easily attached and the camera to be rotated to a vertical position.
The Top Pl ate is designed to not obstruct access to the original mounting point of the C80 top handle, making this frame an ideal choice for users who want to retain the original handle.
Also included is an ergonomic wooden handle that attaches with a NATO rail, providing added comfort when operating or carrying the camera. With a release button on the side, the handle angle can be easily adjusted for the ideal position and quickly reoriented to suit the shot.
In addition, this kit also includes a 15mm LWS base plate that allows you to mount accessories on bars such as Follow Focus systems or Matte Boxes. The base plate is compatible with Tilta's standard dovetail rails and allows the use of a wide variety of quick release plates due to the 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads on the bottom.
Also included in the kit is a power plate with cable that extends the operating time of the C80 and allows you to power accessories via the 60W PD USB-C port, P-Tap port and 2-pin Lemo connector. With a dual rod adapter, this unit can be easily integrated into systems using 15mm LWS rods
