SONOFF Dongle-PMG24 is a universal Zigbee and Thread USB adapter designed for connecting and managing devices from various manufacturers through Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, openHAB, and other compatible platforms.
Using a single USB device, you can create a centralized Zigbee network and eliminate the need for separate Zigbee hubs from different manufacturers. Operation requires a computer, Raspberry Pi, or a server running supported software.
The device enables local control of Zigbee devices without relying on cloud services, providing enhanced privacy, security, and reliability.
Compatible with eWeLink CUBE OS, a free, open-source, self-hosted software platform that integrates eWeLink Wi-Fi devices and third-party Zigbee devices into a unified Matter network. This enables device control through Apple Home, SmartThings, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Home Assistant, and other Matter-compatible platforms.
Dongle-PMG24 is built around the next-generation Silicon Labs EFR32MG24 chipset, offering greater memory capacity and higher performance than previous-generation Zigbee coordinators.
Equipped with 1536 KB Flash memory, 256 KB RAM, and a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M33 processor, it provides sufficient resources to efficiently handle large Zigbee networks and more advanced automation scenarios.
The 3 dBi antenna, with gain reaching up to 4.5 dBi under optimal conditions, provides wireless coverage of up to 200 m in open space.
Pre-installed firmware, using the EmberZNet protocol stack, supports adding multiple Zigbee devices. Functions as a Zigbee network router to strengthen connections and improve the stability of your home’s Zigbee devices. Runs the OpenThread protocol stack and works with a Thread Border Router (OpenThread RCP mode), supporting the connection and control of Matter (Matter over Thread) devices. With Zigbee and OpenThread 2-in-1 integration, a single dongle lets you connect and manage both Zigbee and Thread devices at the same time (MultiPAN RCP mode).
All SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 devices are supported, including smart switches, smart plugs, sensors, curtain motors, and other smart home components.
The adapter also supports a wide range of third-party Zigbee devices, including Philips Hue, IKEA, Aqara, SmartThings, and other Zigbee 3.0 compatible products.
The included 1m USB extension cable helps reduce electromagnetic interference from USB 3.0 ports and improves communication stability.
