Ermenrich NetGeeks NU25 Optical Multimeter

The Ermenrich NetGeeks NU25 optical multimeter is a multifunctional device that can be used to measure optical power, find cable breaks, and determine other characteristics of a fiber optic network and its components.

The VFL (Visual Fault Locator) function allows you to assess cable damage using light signals. There are three types of such signals: constant glow, slow flashing, and fast flashing. Other network test results are displayed on a backlit color TFT screen, e.g., the connector crimping quality test and the frequency of the detected signal. The device connector is protected from dust and water by a removable plastic cap.

The device can operate on one of six main wavelengths: 850, 980, 1310, 1490, 1550, or 1625nm. The VFL function has a separate 650nm wavelength as well as detectable frequencies of 270Hz, 1kHz, and 2kHz. The device is equipped with optical connectors of FC/SC/ST standards as well as an RJ45 network connector. The Ermenrich NetGeeks NU25 Multimeter supports single-mode (SM) and multi-mode (MM) cables.
